  • Seven Star, the name alone could not be better suited. The number associated with the gods. Seven, of Puerto Rican decent, wrote his first song at 10 and performed for the first time in front of a live audience on a local music show for a public access channel popular at the the time in Puerto Rico. From there he kept writing songs and when he moved to Miami he started to take his music career more seriously. He has a Christian background and like all children raised in a religious household he was forced to go to church every Sunday, but it was on Friday nights that they had open mic and this was the opportunity Seven needed to hone his skills as a performer. The time came for him to start recording music in professional music studios and that's when his journey really began. Lyrically, Seven Star touches on all subjects relating to humanity from man-woman relationships, love, spirituality, as well the injustices bestowed on the natives of the island once known as Borike’n ( Puerto Rico ). His message is universal and his flow and delivery will amaze, whether spoken or written. His honesty will make you think and react in the tradition of his role models Martin Luther King Jr, KRS-ONE, Marvin Gaye and Allen Ginsberg. He has released music on labels such as Counterflow Recordings, Botanica Del Jibaro, Project Mooncircle & now independently. He continues to tour around the world and has formed an international fan base that anxiously awaits his new releases. Seven Star has a lot to say and will continue to evolve as an artist.     Just take a second. Cop a seat right on this bench. Watch the herd pass you by fixated on nonsense. They move so fast with out a past trying to outlast their self imposed masks. Worker bees with Jack in their thermoses and flasks, but they don't know why these feelings keep arising in their hearts. Depressed no matter how much they fill up their shopping carts. They can't help you when you're down or they'll be late and their bosses will frown. A man has a heart attack and no one reacts. God frowns, but God is just a character that they forgot was there. Sinners run the world and no one cares about the devils affairs. As long as the money's there no one will share. Elephants, Donkeys and Bears. He's a whale, she's a whale blowing hot air up everyone's derriere. The rest are ants under they evil eyes up there. Watching our every move looking for those who don't fit in the group they fashioned for those with out a clue. And here they are right in front of you what will you do. Following wallow in capitalism mire, worship sires, pyramid schemes, are you for hire? Will you wear their attire? Will you go with the flow of poison rushing to the heart of our society?       The sun sets and orange photon skies create a moment that can change a persons life. An evening breeze rushes by like the last bit of light turns to night. Waiting for the bus I start to write. A poem, a verse or some axiom to puncture the universe. The bus arrives and departs. I was caught up in the art. Caught up by a spark of intuition. I remained seated bringing it to fruition. I jotted down. I wrote on and on. You wouldn't believe some of the lines in this song. I couldn't see anything but the rhyme. I was so caught up by the moment I lost track of time, missing the last bus line, but all was just fine.. The moon still shined. I cracked a smile thinking it's only a couple of miles till I get to the crib. Quoting verses from tracks like when I used to be a kid. Except the tracks are mine on who I am and how I live. I stopped at the store, bought a blunt and rolled a fat one by the pay phone. Sparked it for the long way home. Now everything is hazy. My eyes are low, my eyes are lazy. Mad thoughts run through my mind like "When will rap pay me?". I came up with another line like "This industry enslaves me and pays me nothing to parade me". Now I'm sitting on the curb. I must be crazy. Line after line, trying hook after hook. I was divine inspiration all over my notebook. I pull the spliff out, light it up and blaze a bit. Ready to write another scrip when Soarse and Shift pull up like "Let me hit that shit"!

    Positive thinking or using your imagination the way you used to as a child may affect the structures of the universe. If you can feel what you imagine your emotions may cause vibrations sending your thoughts in to the air like a projection of your what it is you see. These vibrations cure, heal, save & change the world around you. It's like talking to plants. The sound waves of your speech cause vibrations in the plant the way a gust of wind would blow through a trees branches. Except this gust of wind penetrates the surface and causes either positive or negative outcomes. Talk positively towards the plant and it may cause it to grow. Speak negatively to it and it may wither. It may even, like neutrinos, pass right through the surface of the planet reaching the far reaches of the galaxy depending on what you're visualizing or seeing happen. The point is feel what you pray, see what you pray and give thanks. We have incredible strength in numbers. Praying in unison makes miracles happen. Miracles are anomalies according to us, but we're all just wise men. We know nothing at all.

    Nothing but shivering masses of flesh lost in the crowd with no ID caught up in lifes mesh.  Tangled in darkness they refuse to fight despite the fact theyve seen the trail of light.  Dreams in mental pipes, struggling to avoid the hype, losing sight of true purpose.    Were after monetary gain as worthless workers, overwhelmed by low self appreciation due to the fact that you work more for less while your boss works less for enough money to start company pensions.  Youre just doing it to get by, you're universal youre limit isnt the skies.  Your mind already flies too high for corporate jargon to defy so youre left behind.  Not everyone is of the same feather, pessimism (never) optimism (never say never).  How did we end up in captivity?  How did materialistic obsessions posses our activities?  B.K and Mickey Ds have taken our agility, drug enforcement agencies uprooting the family tree stability.  Dying of man made disease, in secret wars overseas, blood, sweat and tears all over a blue collars dungarees, the journey of a princess feeling priceless earning wages on her knees.  Appease these needs please!  Suffering in the dark and the lights pierce through the holes in the doors to tease and our never ending search for these keys.  Our exhausting, grueling, never ending search for these keys suddenly a breeze.

     

    Solve it, evolve it, embrace your mistakes.  Learn from what they call the breaks.  Dive in to alive, revive, decide, confide in self.  Take it and stride.  Abide by the voice in your head.  Even if theres more than one, that just means youre not dead.  Bleed for those who bled.  Lye in bed, read the books your elders read or sit with them while you learn and listen instead.  All of us are bred by the energy everything.  This is what we are as a race.  Let us stop being scared of our selfs and look in to our face till we disappear in to space.

    I met the strongest woman and she held my hand. She made me smile, she made me cry. She made me a man. I am the product of Goddesses and Queens. The kind of knowledge they handed down to me was filled with love and light beams. She was my summers so long she became my years. It was those Goddesses and Queens she so righteously steered. I feel in my heart I need to remind you who you are. You are her ambassadors. You are her reflection and she is a star. She's everywhere now. I hear her in the crackling of oil in the pan. Her eyes in the eggs. Her smile in the Spam. She's everywhere.

    She was the center of our lives and now she's the center of our hearts. She said love your mother unconditionally from the start. I never realized this until my mother and I fell apart.
